VR Dashboard 3.16
Post by iconPost by Hardtack | 2021-01-26 | 23:00:44

I just made three minor changes:
- The NOAA cycle currently in use(*) by VR is now displayed below the race selector.
- Followed boats are now green on the map, blue and bold on the fleet tab. Normal boats are blue. Other colors as before.
- The map now uses the full tab height. It wasn't really intended but I actually like it that way.

Google web store approval is still pending.

I'll update the manual soon.
I also received some suggestions and bug reports regarding user info triggered from the rankings. This will be next.

(*)
Based on the cycle info contained in the wind data loaded by the game UI. We assume that the server actually uses this cycle, but there is no absolute guarantee.

Hi,

I looked at the last commit and added a comment. There seems to be a merge issue in the CSS file.

On JV I get isochrone cut-off at 90°W, last route dot is ~127h away and to destination flag at Cape Horn is ~181h. Route dots continue past 90°W but not route track.

I mention it here in case it is related. I recall reading of possible confusion around 180° but not this.

It could be because I have problems with intermittent outage of polars at toxcct.free.fr (currently unavailable) as it keeps being flagged as an anonymous proxy site by Neustar, and I recall you have put some additional serving up there too recently.

"Site Blocked

perso169-g5.free.fr

This site has been categorized as Anonymous Proxies. Site may allow web browsing or sending messages anonymously through a proxy server.

Why am I seeing this?

This is incorrect"

If I report it as incorrect (it's a button) and say it is a game support site they are unhelpful in their response and state it has been categorized correctly.

The 90°W seems to be a bug in the 180° indeed. Isochrones appear if you zoom out a bit, and will also appear when we cross the line. I don't have to investigate right now.

About the polars - perso169-g5.free.fr is hosted on the same server/IP address as toxcct.free.fr (along with hundreds of other sites, probably). If one of then gets flagged by some blacklist you may get warnings about all of them. And you keep seeing that because you have some sort of antivirus software or another.

I was not able to access the polars for some time ago with a similar message.
Via facebook i contacted Toxcct, it appeared that my regional IP adress was on a blacklist of the hosting server. This was removed and then everything worked again.

Hello
In the MAP folder I can't see anymore my own boat with up-dated locations (the red one), only the light green one with fixed location.
I have 3.16.6 version. Is it related to this version ?
Sorry if already discussed, I could not find.

Hi,
Thanks for the update.
In a future version would it possible to have a button to route on vrzen.org as well ?

@nicklarsson, I don't think vrzen offers suitable API but if they have, integrating it would be rather low on my prio list.

@marc07, I'll need to check. I always viewed this as a bug and maybe "fixed" and forgot. Are there any advantages having the other boat position?
